Agreement has been signed for an extensive maintenance program.

Following the successful design and supply of cargo access equipment onboard a series of PTCTs building for Norway’s Wilhelmsen Lines Car Carriers by Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), the Gothenburg office of TTS has now signed an extended maintenance agreement for the ships after delivery.
Wilhelmsen’s UK office, WLCC, Southampton and Gothenburg’s TTS Ships Equipment AB, has signed the agreement for an extensive maintenance program including, expertise inspections, operational tests, hydraulic condition tests, steel structure survey, service and spare part stock agreement. The contract was signed in Southampton during late March this year (2006) by Kaare Strand (WLCC fleet manager) and Dan Magnusson (TTS Ships Equipment AB’s service manager).
TTS is now by far the most successfully supplier of equipment for Car Carriers, the programme includes deliveries to all the major car carrier operators including Wallenius Lines (Sweden), Wilhelmsen (Norway), Leif Hoegh (Norway), AP Moller (Denmark), Grimaldi (Italy), Pasha (Hawaii), EUKOR (Korea) and Ray Shipping (Israel). Currently TTS cargo access equipment has been installed onboard a total of about 60 vehicle carriers (all delivered), more then 40 vessels either under construction or on order, with further vessels expected to be added to the growing list of the world’s leading supplier of such equipment.
Wallenius Lines was TTS’ first ever customer involving car carriers when, as Kvaerner Ships Equipment (KSE), which is now part of TTS, cargo access equipment was supplied to ships building for the Swedish owner at Kockums Shipyard in Malmo back in September 1983. The new contract with Wilhelmsen concludes TTS´ recognition as preferred RoRo equipment supplier for PCTC.
TTS has focused on the customers’ request for reliable and high performance equipment of the highest standard. Meanwhile, other suppliers have focused more on service with a massive service network to attract business in each port. With TTS equipment the maintenance is minimised with all control systems having built-in redundancy. For the customer - the quality and the reliability of the product is more essential than anything else.
TTS has built up a strategically-located network of service stations, which meet the requirement from all our customers. Recently TTS group has opened its own service station in Genoa, Italy, less than year after the establishment of the US office in Miami.
